Project description:
This project aims to redevelop and regenerate an area of vacant land and dilapidated shops in the centre of Mixenden, North Halifax, to create an attractive, thriving, vibrant, safer and stronger community, where people want to live, work and do business. The whole project will aim to ‘narrow the gap’ on a range of key indicators between Mixenden and the rest of Calderdale.The project will create a new district centre for Mixenden, serving 5500 residents, prospectively including:
• A new convenience store
• A new GP surgery
• A new chemists
• A re-sited or refurbished Library
