Local Area
Agreement > New Local Area Agreement
Originally intended to run from 2007
- 2010, Calderdale's Local Area Agreement
(LAA) came to an end on 31st March 2008, when a new Local Area
Agreement arrangement came into effect. Calderdale's Local Area
Agreement 2008 - 2011 had now been signed off by Central
Government and contains 32 indicators and targets. The list of
new indicators and targets in the new LAA can be viewed
here.

LAA arrangements are set out and can be found in the following
documents.
Communities and Local Government published the first part of
two-stage guidance on the negotiation process for new Local Area
Agreements in September 2007, called
‘Negotiating New Local Area
Agreements’.
The second
stage of the guidance was published in November 2007, and clarifies
the operational process for negotiating LAAs -
‘Development of
the New LAA Framework: Operational Guidance 2007’.
Details of the new LAA arrangements were also
set out in the
Comprehensive Spending Review (CSR),
released with the
‘The
New Performance Framework for Local Authorities and Local
Authority Partnerships: Single Set of National Indicators’
in October 2007.
