About Calderdale Forward
Calderdale
Forward is the district's local strategic partnership (often
abbreviated to LSP). It brings together the organisations that
have a shared interest in, and commitment to, promoting the
social, environmental and economic well-being of Calderdale. It
promotes effective strategic planning and partnership working.
Public sector organisations, the voluntary and
community sector and local businesses are all involved in
Calderdale Forward.
Calderdale Forward's aim is to improve the quality of life for
people in the District. Its role is to develop an overall
strategic vision for the area and ensure it is delivered. This
is Calderdale's Sustainable Community Strategy,
which is updated every three years. View the 2009
updated draft of the
Sustainable Community Strategy here.
Calderdale Forward is also responsible for delivering the vision
and underpinning ambitions of the Sustainable Community Strategy
through its
Local Area Agreement.
Calderdale’s
Story of Place describes the District, its ambitions,
challenges and priorities. It has been embedded in and
