The
Calderdale Place Survey 2008 Briefing on National Indicator
Results provides the provisional data for the eighteen
National Indicators (NIs) whose source is the Place Survey.
Comparison with previous data is available for some of the
questions in the Place Survey, where these have been
included in previous national surveys (e.g. Best Value
Performance Indicators or previous Local Area Agreement
surveys). Four National Indicators that are in Calderdale’s
Local Area Agreement are shown in bold. These are NI 1, NI
4, NI 17 and NI 138.
A detailed
Report has been commissioned and will include information
about how findings compare with other Districts and with
previous results. This comparative data is not yet
available; latest information is that it will be released in
June.
The results
provided are the provisional results weighted by the Audit
Commission to reflect the population of the District.
(Weighting is undertaken to ensure that the opinions of

Reward Element
Indicators 2007 - 2010 |
|
The ‘reward element’ is additional money from central
government for LSPs, for the achievement of specific
challenging targets. Calderdale’s first Local Area Agreement
(LAA1) included 14 Reward Element Indicators. These were
three year targets, eligible for payment of performance
reward grant should the targets be achieved by April 2010.
Although LAA1 came to an end in March 2008 and was succeeded
by LAA2, the 14 Reward Targets will continue until 2010.
Progress is carefully tracked to ensure the best possible
support is given to achieving them and the potential
Performance Reward Grant that accompanies them. |
